Purpose: Implements production plans for the various sheeting locations. In daily contact with Product Managers, Sales Managers, Sales Reps, Inside Sales Reps, Quality Services and Production Managers in process of improving grade mix, trims, planning trials, etc. Incumbents in the position must train and work continuously to gain knowledge of the business (customer requirements, products, mill converting operations, procedures, policies and organization) and utilization of all functional skills. Collaborates with Sales and Marketing, Operations Team supervision, and mill converting personnel in business strategies and decisions which impact profitability, freight costs and service to our customers.
Key Accountabilities: List (in order of importance) the required key outcomes or “whats” and the key actions “hows” taken for each “what”.
- Provides timely and cost efficient trim solutions for sheeting schedules.
- Monitor equipment backlogs, finished goods inventory levels and unplanned stock levels. Adjusts backlogs and inventory levels to keep mills in good customer service position.
- Participates in specific business projects as needed (i.e. machine trials, customer partnering, update Fact Finder, support JIT inventories and customer specific stocking programs, controls stock levels and resolve customer service problems in outside warehouses). Participates in “Mill Issue Team”, customer driven quality and total quality programs.
- Daily interaction with PS&D personnel, customer service and 3rd party vendors to track production requirements and update sales as needed.
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels at various 3rd party vendors.
- Quote making sheet orders.
