Job Description

The Sheeting Operation General Manager has overall responsibility for sheeting sales and operations with an expected $200–$230 MM growth over time.  This position has full P&L responsibility and decision making authority on all factors driving the P&L including product pricing.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and Lead a dedicated Sales and Marketing team for sheeting/converting products and services
  • Lead the develop sales and marketing plans and partnerships with suppliers and customers.
  • Develop and maintain an end-to-end view of the national market including growth objectives, quality, pricing, and operational capabilities
  • Develop sales channels and participate directly in key and large sales opportunities
  • Oversee product sales and client management
  • Ensure delivery of profitable revenue growth by developing and executing effective solutions to meet customer needs
  • Responsible for the day to day operations of the Central Wisconsin Sheeting Facility to include Manufacturing Operations, Sales and Marketing, as well as Finance, and HR support and administration
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Manufacturing Center of Excellence for Maintenance Reliability, Engineering, and Procurement support, with indirect (dotted-line) reporting relationship to local resources
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Supply Chain Organization (Order Management, Sales Planning, and Customer Service teams), with indirect (dotted-line) reporting relationships to corporate and support resources
  • Development of short and long-term plans, goals, and budgets for the plant, including capital planning and spending
  • Ensure the plant maintains compliance with all federal, state, local, and company safety policies and procedures including safety training, inspections, accident investigations, and housekeeping.
  • Ensure environmental objectives are set, monitored, and achieved.
  • Ensure quality objectives are set, monitored and achieved.

 

Job Requirements

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 15 Years in sales/marketing experience in Pulp and Paper Manufacturing and/or Converting/Sheeting Operations is preferred – has led successful Sales & Marketing organizations
  • Prior PL leadership experience

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills including the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization – operating & maintenance personnel, business units, manufacturing and other staff support groups
  • An ability to lead through influence
  • Proven ability to get results
  • Ability to be self-directed and direct others
  • Good communications skills, both written and oral

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and high energy
  • Technical knowledge and ability to bring Verso “Colored Book” Operational Excellence principles to the Sheeting Operation
