Job Description


The Fiber Supply Analyst – Lake States is responsible for all financial records and processes for Fiber Supply.  This individual ensures that Fiber Supply is compliant with all associated measures.  This position is also designed to supervise Fiber Supply support staff and payment system adherence.  This position also works closely with the Fiber Supply Team and Mill Controllers to ensure effective financial cost accounting.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supervise Fiber Supply support staff.
  • Assure process controls are in place and documented.
  • Perform periodic wood cost analysis including monthly wood costs, operating costs, buyer metrics, wood inventory and other ad-hoc reporting.
  • Create and modify reports for procurement staff from the wood procurement system (LIMS).
  • Work with IT and central accounting to assure the ongoing smooth operation of the wood procurement system (LIMS).
  • Monthly closing activities for wood billings to mills.
  • Cost accounting within the accounting system (SAP).
  • Supplier and vendor interaction of payments, 1099’s etc.
  • Provide training and support to new users of the wood procurement system (LIMS).
  • Oversee contracts, payments, and invoices. Maintain long term contracts and leases in the contract storage system
  • Provide templates and processes to roll-up the annual budgeting schedules.
  • Internal audit requests and checks.

This is a financial analyst position supporting the fiber supply organization for the Lake States region. The incumbent in this position will provide support pertaining to fiber procurement including financial analytics, SOX controls, cost accounting, supplier and vendor interaction of contracts, payments, invoices, 1099's, etc.  The incumbent will have responsibility utilizing both SAP and the wood procurement system (LIMS).


Job Requirements

Minimum Required Experience and Education:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field

Preferred Sills:

  • Knowledge of SAP / LIMS is preferred but skill set to learn new software is the key
